FindMyList started as a simple browser tool for pasting and sharing army lists, and that part still works entirely on your own device. Since then the site has grown to include optional accounts, a subscription, email notifications, a Find a Game feature that can match players by location, game chat, and live multiplayer. This page explains what we collect, why, and where it lives. We only collect what a feature actually needs, and most features ask you to opt in before anything leaves your browser.
You can paste and edit lists without signing up. That work happens inside your browser and is not sent to or stored on our servers. When you generate a share link, your list is compressed and embedded directly in the link itself, so whoever you send it to can read it. Please do not share links to lists containing information you want to keep private.
Some features (Find a Game, multiplayer, and subscriptions) need an account. When you register we store your email address, a securely hashed version of your password, whether you have confirmed your email, and an optional display name you can set yourself. Your display name is what other players see; your email is never shown to other players unless you choose to reveal it through the contact flow described below. We store this information in our own database so the site can sign you in and run these features.
Paid features are handled through Stripe, our payment provider. When you subscribe or manage your billing you are sent to Stripe's own secure pages. We never see or store your card number or any other card details. What we do keep is the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your current subscription status, the plan you chose, and when the current period ends, so the site knows whether your access is active. Stripe is the source of truth for your billing; please read their privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
Find a Game can help you discover other players near you. This is strictly opt in. Nothing about your location is stored until you choose to share it and enter a postcode, and you can turn sharing off again at any time.
When you reach out to another player, either through a game or through the player finder, your email stays private. The other person first sees only your display name and your message. Email addresses are revealed to each other only after both sides agree, at the point the recipient accepts. If a request is declined, no contact details are shared.
Once you are paired with another player on a game, the chat messages you exchange and the lists you choose to share on that game are stored in our database so both of you can see them. Only the two paired players (and our administrators, where needed to run the service) can access them.
We send transactional email through Resend, our email provider. These messages cover things you have asked for or that keep an account working: confirming your email, resetting your password, and notifying you about game invites, requests, pairings, list updates, and player contact requests. To deliver them, your email address is shared with Resend. We do not send marketing email.
The live multiplayer mode keeps the state of an in progress game (the map and the unit positions both players move) only in the server's memory for the duration of the session. It is not written to our database, and it is discarded once the game ends.
Several preferences and caches live on your own device and are not sent anywhere:
theme.notice-v1.We use Cloudflare for DNS, protection against attacks, and visit counting. Cloudflare Analytics is cookieless and counts visits in aggregate only. No individual users are identified or tracked, and no personal data is sent to Cloudflare for analytics.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can clear most local data yourself through your browser, and you can turn location sharing off at any time from your account. If you would like your account and the data tied to it removed, reach out through one of the channels below and we will delete it.
FindMyList is intended for adults. The Find a Game location features require you to confirm you are 18 or older before you can share your location or be discovered by other players.
As the site gains features this policy may change. When it does we will update the date at the top of this page.
Questions about your privacy, or a request to delete your data, can be sent to us by email at [email protected], or on Reddit or Discord.
